Even Laurence, who wishes heartily for black tea with milk and a scone with jam and clotted cream besides, must admit that the scents rising from the dishes are both delicate and delicious.
"Thank you," he says, accepting the cup. "What a handsome tea you have managed; you honor me, Hanguang-jun."
